I know I said that I would be putting my games from Southend on the blog, but I played a nice miniature on Friday night, in a match between Maldon A and Witham A in the North Essex Chess League, so I decided to post this one first. Well played! It is always satisfying to win with a direct assault on the king. It is an interesting companion game to Scott's with the pin on the f3 knight again proving critical. We learn about the dangers of this pin as juniors then so often forget as the years roll by.
